Safety

How we work safe on your site

These are the steps crews follow before and during a job. Your site rules come first.

  • Orientation

Every crew member completes your site orientation before they enter a unit.

  • Job hazard analysis

The crew writes one for each task and reviews it at the start of the shift.

  • Hot work

Permit, fire watch and clear space around every weld or cut.

  • Confined space

Entry only under your permit, with an attendant and an agreed rescue plan.

  • Lockout and tagout

We put our locks on your energy isolation points and take them off ourselves.

  • Stop-work authority

Anyone on the crew can stop a job they think is unsafe, without asking first.

Questions

From contractor safety forms

Do your crews take our site orientation?

Yes. Every person on the job completes it before entering the unit, and we keep the sign-in with the job file.

Who is our safety contact?

A named safety lead is assigned to the job and on the crew list in the bid.

Do you bring your own permits and procedures?

We follow yours. Where you have none for a task, we write a job hazard analysis and send it for your approval.

Can we audit your records?

Yes. Ask for the safety packet and the training records for the crew on your job.
